Description

As of June 01, 2023, project was awarded to Fayetteville Contractors, Inc. , awarded amount is $210 238.75. 2023 Waynesboro Street Reconstruction Project ALTERNATE BID PROPOSAL "A": This project shall consist of the removal of the existing asphalt surface and the placement of a 2" Stone Base, 4" Bituminous Base Course, 2" Bituminous Wearing Course and the installation of 10 ADA Accessible Ramps on Hamilton Avenue between W. Sixth Street and W. Eighth Street. ALTERNATE BID PROPOSAL "B-1 & B-2": The project shall consist of the in-place construction of a Cold Recycled Bituminous Base Course, 2" Bituminous Wearing Course or full-depth reclamation and installation of 10 ADA Accessible Ramps on Hamilton Avenue between W. Sixth Street and W. Eighth Street. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Waynesboro, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. This project is partially funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), the Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Municipal Liquid Fuels Program. Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wages shall apply to this contract. The Contract Documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, non-discrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE, DBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. The Borough of Waynesboro (owner) reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not-to-exceed thirty (30) days from the date of opening bids, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
