Description | The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Location: In the towns of Lincoln, Winn, Mattawamkeag, Molunkus Township, Macwahoc Plantation in Penobscot and Aroostook Counties U.S. Route 2 in Milford, beginning at the Old Town - Milford town line (MP 156.27) and extending northerly to the junction of Cardville Road in Greenbush (MP 168.76) for a total distance of 12.49 centerline miles (24.98 lane miles). Outline of Work: Snow plowing and ice control The initial term of this contract is for three (3) years, beginning October 15, 2022 and ending May 1, 2025. The contract term may be extended on an annual basis for up to five (5) additional years upon mutual agreement between MaineDOT and the contractor. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. TTY users call Maine Relay 711. There will be no bid bonds, performance bonds or payment bond required. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Snow Plowing and Ice Control - Milford - Greenbush - Region 4 We now accept electronic bids for bid packages posted on the website. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: The Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original bid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence. |
