PTCC-20 Technical/Trades Lab Addition and Renovation

This project includes the renovation of and the addition to the technical/trades applied learning labs at Pine Technical & Communicat College (PTCC). Technical/trades programming is the signature of PTCC. This project provides new and renovated lab spaces that improve acess to technical education options otherwise unavailable within a 60-mile commute from Pine City. Temporary instructional space will be removed to expand the high-demand, high-pgrowth programs such as nursing and advanced manufacturing. The project will incrase student access to family-sustaining jobs, provide a foundation for institutional financial vibrancy, and allow PTCC to continue its leadership role in regional workforce development. Additional Description: Key features of this project include: • Approximately 15,000 square feet of renovated area • Approximately 30,000 square feet of new construction • Innovated research and development lab, machine lab, automation lab, and collaborative work lab • Functional health science simulation lab and nursing labs • General classrooms • Gunsmithing lab, welding labs, armory storage, and test shooting tunnel • Faculty office and support spaces, including a student study area
