2022 Invasive Vegetative Control And Removal

The Town is looking for mechanical, chemical, and biological control and removal of invasive vegetation. All herbicides must be natural. The Town is looking for hourly rates for the following: Hand pulling weeds prior to fruiting or seed set, no bagging or disposal; Hand pulling weeds after fruiting or seed set, includes bagging and proper off-site disposal; String trimming prior to seed set; Hand pruning and proper off-site disposal; Mowing prior to seed set or fruiting; Brush hogging of woody shrubs and small trees prior to fruiting; Hand digging of large clump grasses prior to seed set and proper off-site disposal; Removing woody shrubs by root ball and proper off-site disposal; Cutting off shrubs and trees prior to fruiting with chainsaws, proper off-site disposal; Installing and maintaining weed control fabric in project areas to prevent germination of invasives; Over seeding with native grasses and forbs such as switch grass, little bluestem, big bluestem, broom sedge, New England Aster, New York iron weed, native species of milkweeds, etc.; Foliar application of natural herbicides; Wick/paint applications of inorganic herbicides; Girdling of invasive trees.
