BCC Security Surveillance

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, Bureau of Community Corrections (BCC) is seeking an experienced vendor to substantially improve the security surveillance capabilities at its ten (10) state operated facilities and Management Operations Center (MOC). This project will allow BCC to maximize the proposed improvements to increase the security and oversight of its facilities. The project will encompass, but is not limited to the following: IP-based cameras, cabling, software, work stations, housings, enterprise licensing, DVRs with at least 30 days of retention, uninterruptible power system, and remote viewing. The electronic security system shall function as an integrated system. The control and monitoring stations shall function as a single control point, appearing to function as a single system. Although the system is made up of several sub-systems, they shall be integrated in both a physical and electronic manner to achieve a single system presentation to the operator. The video surveillance system design shall not prohibit the addition of future cameras, monitoring stations or recoding locations to the system. The vendor will provide training on the use of the systems for all those in need. The BCC seeks an experienced vendor with experience preferably in a Corrections setting. The BCC prefers to utilize Avigilon as the manufacturer of choice as they provide an end to end solution with Video Management System Software, Recoding Devices/Servers and a full Comprehensive Camera Line.
