North Second Street Multimodal Design Project

The Project consists of roadway improvements along the 2nd Street corridor in the City of Harrisburg. Improvements include but are not limited to construction and conversion of existing traffic signals to multilane roundabouts at the intersections of 2nd Street and Reily Street, 2nd Street and Verbeke Street, and 2nd Street and Kelker Street; designing and installing curb ramps in accordance with ADA requirements; construction of 12 pedestrian refuge islands on North Second Street; milling of existing bituminous pavements, applying bituminous leveling course as required overlaying streets with bituminous wearing course, adjusting and/or installing utilities such as manhole frames and covers, water valves, and storm water inlets; E&S controls; removal and installation of signs; removal of existing pavement markings; installing waterborne pavement markings, installing thermoplastic pavement markings, installation of pavement markings including special green color treatments for bike lanes; install ground mounted flexible post delineators, reprogramming existing traffic signal controller, implementing leading pedestrian intervals, program and assign video detection zones, relocate/realign traffic signal heads and overhead signing; maintenance and protection of traffic. The length of Contract will be from February 1, 2021 to October, 15 2022.

Division 34 -	Transportation, Transportation Signaling and Control Equipment, Roadway Signaling and Control Equipment, Traffic Signals, Traffic Control Equipment.
