Band Stand Renovation – E. Eugene Myers Community Park

Renovation of the Myers Community Park bandstand located at 201 West Lincoln Avenue, Emmitsburg MD 21727. The existing 14-year old bandstand is 17-feet by 23-feet in size with a concrete slab and a pavilion-like band stand. A photo of the existing band stand is attached under “supporting photos.” 1. Walls: a. Remove half-walls on each side. b. Enclose back wall of band stand and wrap wall around to the left and right sides approximately 4-feet out. c. Install cultured stone on interior of the new wall and install painted metal on exterior of new wall. 2. Front Columns: Installed cultured stone on front two columns with a 4-foot high by 18- inch wide diameter. 3. Electrical Panel: The existing electrical panel will need to be slightly moved and enclosed in a lockable steel box. 4. Roof: Install metal on fascia boards that run along the edge of the roof. 5. Other: a. Paint all beams and posts. b. Replace rotten Boards (as needed). 6. Permitting: Contractors will be responsible for obtaining the necessary Town and County permits for the work. Please note Frederick County does not charge the Town permitting fees for public projects.
