Description | The scope of work includes approximately: Cleaning, inspecting, testing, and sealing 10,258 lf of sewers; installing 40 lf of structural cured-in-place short liner; installing 771 lf of structural cured-in-place; cementitious lining of 326 vf of sewer manholes; and testing and grouting 68 service connections. The scope of work includes construction of approximately: Cleaning, inspecting, testing, and sealing 10,258 lf of sewers; installing 40 lf of structural curedin-place short liner; installing 771 lf of structural cured-in-place; cementitious lining of 326 vf of sewer manholes; and testing and grouting 68 service connections. The required contract completion period is 140 consecutive days, exclusive of re-test inspection. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner, isrequired in the amount of five percent of the bid, in accordance with Section 00200, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Instructions to Bidders, Form of General Bid, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, Performance and Payment Bond, and The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 GENERALCONDITIONS of these specifications. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. For addition to the project plan holder's list to guarantee receipt of addenda, it is recommended interested bidders obtain the Contract Documents directly from Accent. Interested bidders will be prompted to register an email address with Accent to access the documents. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It isthe responsibility oftheBidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract Prospective bidders shall not open sewer manholes in the Town prior to notifying the Engineer. Requests to open sewer manholes shall be submitted to the Engineer via email to Mahoney.Carolyn@wseinc.com. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agreesthat this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids. |
