Description | The Long Beach Unified School District ("District") is requesting submission of: A proposal ("Proposal(s)") (together, "Response(s)") from qualified firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, persons, or professional organizations ("Firm(s)") to replace noncompliant plumbing fixtures ("Project") that are funded by the California Schools Healthy Air, Plumbing, and Efficiency ("CalSHAPE") Plumbing Program enacted under Assembly Bill 841. The basic scope and costs of the Project are as follows: Replacement of noncompliant plumbing fixtures such as toilets, urinals and showerheads with water conserving plumbing fixtures by the selected Firm. The project shall be compliant with the District's grant amount through the CalSHAPE program of $1,333,339.05 ("Project Budget") Minimum Requirements: License - Hold a Class B and/or C-36 Contractors License, which is current, valid, and in good standing with the California Contractors State License Board. DIR Registration - All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Prequalification - All Firms must complete the prequalification process and be prequalified through QualityBidders. In addition, if the Project has electrical, mechanical, or plumbing components that will be performed by subcontractors performing under the following license classification(s), then each of those subcontractors that intend to bid as a first-tier subcontractor to a general contractor (prime contractor) are required to have been prequalified by the District: C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and/or C-46.The District highly recommends that the firm immediately complete the prequalification process to ensure its eligibility to be eligible to provide a Response.
