Alexandria Bay Sidewalk and Dock Improvements

Sidewalk Improvements: 1. Install approximately 300 linear feet of new concrete sidewalk adjacent to Fuller Street at Scenic View Park that connects public parking to the beach. 2. Replace approximately 160 linear feet of existing concrete sidewalk at the Village Municipal Building. 3. Replace approximately 60 linear feet of existing concrete sidewalk leading to the Old Chamber Building. 4. Replace approximately 130 linear feet of existing gravel sidewalk with concrete sidewalk at Captain Thomson’s Playground. 5. Install approximately 165 linear feet of new concrete sidewalk at Captain Thomson’s Playground. Holland Street Dock and Boat Ramp: 1. Remove existing fixed wooden dock located atop piles, existing seawall constructed of a mixture of stone, concrete, asphalt, and the existing precast concrete ramp pad. 2. Replace seawall, construct new bulkhead and reset precast ramp. 3. Construct new floating dock with an integrated gangway utilizing plastic floats, aluminum superstructure, and composite deck boards. Crossman Street Dock and Boat Ramp: 1. Remove existing fixed wooden dock located atop piles and the existing precast concrete ramp pad. 2. Construct new bulkhead and ramp. 3. Construct new floating dock with integrated gangway utilizing plastic floats, aluminum superstructure, and composite deck boards. Site Furnishings: 1. Provide new trash receptacles, benches, and planters to Owner. Captain Thomson Fence: 1. Replace approximately 400 linear feet of existing chain link fence with a decorative metal fence with a mow strip. 2. Replace approximately 125 linear feet of existing chain link fence with 10-ft high black polymer-coated steel chain link fence. Captain Thomson Playground: 1. Construct new playground area with specified equipment and engineered wood fiber surfacing. 2. Install approximately 45 linear feet of new concrete sidewalk that connects public sidewalks to new playground. Scenic View Park Enclosure: 1. Construct approximately 380 linear feet of outdoor curtain system with track at Scenic View Park pavilion. Bethune Street Dock Deck and Staving: 1. Replace approximately 5,000 board feet of existing wood dock deck and staving.
