Firearms Range Refurbishment and Upgrade Project

As of January 31, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The purpose of this request for proposal is to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to provide demolition and refurbishment of existing target range. It is anticipated that this RFP may result in a contract award to either "a single" or "multiple contractors". Current target range has reached end of its useful life and in an inoperable condition. Contractor shall provide 24/7 support and remote access for the resolution of any warranty issues. Warranty shall be for three (3) years with full parts and labor. All items removed are to be neatly stacked on pallets for disposal by County. Contractor will not be responsible for disposal of old target range components, concrete pads, conduits or electrical service (120V/240V power). County will provide. Once removal of existing target range components is completed, the vendor will install the following range components: Action Target or approved Equal -Turning Target Range: 21 lanes, ~90' wide, 50 yd shooting distance (21) Fixed Turning Target Stands - 360 degrees turning - Electrically powered (not pneumatic) - Fixed Master Control Screen - Wireless tablet control and handheld remote control Action Target or Approved Equal -Knee wall - Provides ballistic protection for turning targets - Approx. 95' wide- 3/8" AR500 steel - Plywood and 2" rubber panels cover the face of the steel - Crushed rock fills air gap created by furring strip Action Target or Approved Equal-Running Man Range 70' wide,50-yard shooting Distance - Controllable speeds up to 20 FPS - Controlled by same target controller listed above - Dual track, two running man targets - Already has existing knee wall Removal and Installation - Removal and demolition of existing target range systems with installation of new components listed above to be done according to NYS Prevailing Wage schedules.
