Emergency Water Interconnect

This work consists of furnishing and installing two pre-cast concrete water meter vaults including associated equipment and accessories for interconnection of the East Providence and Pawtucket Water Supply Board respective water systems and rehabilitation of air release piping and equipment. Meter vault installations will be performed on Pawtucket Avenue (state road) and Narragansett Park Drive and will also include the installation of 12” cement lined ductile iron water main, valves fittings, hydrants, water service connections and electrical and instrumentation. All buried water main shall be Class 52. All above-ground water main shall be Class 53. Air/vacuum release piping and equipment rehabilitation will take place at the City’s existing valve vault on Veteran’s Memorial Parkway and includes the installation of two 8” insertion valves and replacement of 8” gate valves, 8” air release piping, and 8” combination air and vacuum release valve.
