Description

Renovation of a laboratory facility in Westminster, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility. Front Range Community College of Westminster (FRCC) has a wing within the center part of the building dedicated to science rooms. Only one science room has been modified since the original construction of the building. In general, the science rooms were designed to return the air back to the air handling units, which poses a health hazard since there is benchtop instruction. This causes contaminants and odors such as formaldehyde to be recirculated within the building. FRCC hired Cator, Ruma & Associates (CRA) to evaluate the building to determine the needs for upgrades of the science rooms HVAC systems. FRCC has selected Cator, Ruma & Associates (CRA) as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for the design of this project. In order to bring these science rooms (laboratories) up to current codes and industry standards, a new exhaust system should be provided to fully exhaust these rooms to prevent contaminants, chemicals and odors from being re-introduced to the rest of the building. Buyers Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required
