Bridge Replacement - Oak Street - City of Dover

NHDOT is planning to replace the aging, sub-standard wood & iron bridge with new structure that allows all weight vehicle loading, including fire and emergency vehicles and public transit buses. City project will include upgrades to the infrastructure adjacent to the NHDOT railroad bridge including utilities, sidewalks and roadway. Sidewalks will extend from Broadway to Portland Ave along Oak Street. The existing drainage will also be upgraded; and therefore, the project will provide water quality benefits within the Great Bay watershed. As of December 12, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2024-2029 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2026. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2026.
