Description

Street reconstruction and installation of new water and storm sewer on 9th Street between US Highway 50 and Mystic Avenue, with College Ave to Mystic Abve to be completed by August 1, 2020. The reconstruction requires removal of existing road section; laying of geogrid and geofabric for subgrade stabilization; road base course; asphalt paving; concrete replacement; removal and backfill of old stormsewer under new improvements; and installation of service lines, meter pits, manholes, inlets etc. The project entails installation of approximately: 4,000 CY of Class 6 ABC; 6,000 tons of HMA; 3,000 LF of 36” RCP; 1,500 LF of curb and gutter; 550 SY of curb ramp; approximately 15 each of type R storm inlets and manholes; and 2,500 LF of PVC water main, mostly 8-inch. Some storm main installation in US Highway 50 is required.
