Scope of Work: 1. Protection: Install protection necessary to prevent damage to the building and site. 2. Demolition: Remove the existing roof system at the locations identified on the drawings. a. Remove and repurpose the existing ballast. b. Remove and discard the existing roof membrane, insulation and roof related accessories down to the concrete deck. c. Remove and recycle the existing roof related sheet metal. 3. Replacement: Install a new built-up roofing system per the drawings and specifications. a. Install new insulation. All layers to be set in hot asphalt. b. Install a new 4-ply built up roof with a gravel topping. c. Install new sheet metal counter flashing, parapet cap, roof jacks, etc. d. Install new roof related accessories throughout. e. Install new non-combustible plywood to all walls and curbs, mechanically attached. f. Install new flashings. 4. Replacement: Install all new sheet metal and accessories throughout. a. Install new pre-finished sheet metal counter flashing, parapet cap, etc. b. Install new galvanized sheet metal at locations that require soldering joints. Paint to match the pre-finished sheet metal. c. Install new roof related accessories throughout.
