Drake Road Reclamation

AS of July 6, 2022, the project has not been awarded as all bids received were over budget. The project is expected to be rebid, however, a rebid date has not been confirmed. The scope of work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for a Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) of Drake Road near Drake, Arizona; all in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents. The project begins at the cattle guard of SR 89 intersection and ends at FS 680A, which is approximately 0.5 miles south from the BNSF Railroad Crossing. The project length is 1.32 miles with approximately 17,943 square yards of roadway pulverization and cement treatment up to 12 inches, and placing approximately 5,580 tons of asphaltic concrete, 3/4" high traffic mix with PG 64-22 binder. Other associated work includes approximately 795 square yards of PCCP pavement removal and reinstallation, 3 concrete headwall removal and 72 feet of culver extensions, roadway fine grading before cement treating and paving, installation of pavement safety edge, shoulder build-up and grading, and restoration of roadway striping and markings. An additive alternate bid is also requested for additional overlay work on Drake Road from FS 680A to Railroad Right-of-Way. The additive alternate bid includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for a 2" asphaltic concrete overlay on 2,500 feet of Drake Road, with approximately 820 tons of asphaltic concrete pavement, 1/2 " high traffic with PG 64-22 binder. Other associated work includes: 1 cattle guard removal and replacement; shoulder build-up and grading; re-establish pavement marking. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. All proposals shall be submitted in strict accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDING included on the website and submitted on the documents provided therein. Bids shall include all applicable taxes and must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price bid, made payable to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors. Each proposal shall be submitted, either by hand, U.S. Postal Service, or other carrier to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, 1015 Fair Street, Room 310, Prescott, Arizona 86305. Yavapai County will not be responsible for those bids submitted that are not marked appropriately and/or sent to the wrong address. Bidders are invited to be present at the opening of bids, but absence will not be considered cause for disqualification. Bidders shall be responsible for any licenses or permits required by the regulatory agency of the State of Arizona that apply to the performance of this contract. The Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of Yavapai County.
