2022 Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements

Value Notes: $15,000,000 - $20,000,000 The Project consists of constructing Aeration and Blowers and Process Upgrades, Digester Rehabilitation and Miscellaneous Central Plant Improvements, East Plant Rehabilitation, and Outfall and Service Water Improvements as an Alternate: 1. Base Bid Item No. 1: Division A - Aeration Blowers and Process Air Upgrades a. Improvements include: new downward opening weir gates at the primary effluent splitter channel, new aeration influent channel mixing system, converting the existing north and south conventional activated sludge aeration tanks into the anaerobic/oxic process, replacement of influent gates to the aeration tanks, new downward opening weir gates at the RAS Division Box, replacement of six (6) return activated sludge pumps, replacement of isolation and check valves at the return activated sludge pumps, replacement of two (2) waste activated sludge pumps, and other miscellaneous site, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation and control improvements as shown or stated in the Drawings and Specifications. 2. Base Bid Item No. 2: Division B - Digester Rehabilitation and Miscellaneous Central Plant Improvements a. Improvements Include: structural improvements to the existing three digesters including secondary entry hatches, concrete and brick restoration, and new roof caps; mixing and ferrous chloride dosing improvements to the two primary digesters including piping and pipe support replacement and ferrous chloride storage, pumping, and pipe replacement; lid and gas safety improvements for all three digesters; septage receiving station addition; scum manhole improvements and associated piping and valves; waste gas burner improvements and associated piping, valves and gas safety equipment; Wiggins tank improvements and associated piping, valves and gas safety equipment, digester gas room upgrades including piping, valves gas safety equipment and instrumentation; and site work including grading, paving, and site restoration. . 3. Base Bid Item No. 3: Division C - East Plant Improvements a. Improvements include: replacement of the three (3) existing screw pumps, replacement of two (2) of the screw pump motors, new screw conveyor for screenings handling and canopy, replacement of the detritor grit collector mechanisms, replacement of the grit pumps, replacement of the grit classifiers, replacement of the belt conveyor for dewatered grit handling, replacement of electrical gear within the East Pumping Station and East Grit Removal Building, and other miscellaneous site, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation and control improvements as shown or stated in the Drawings and Specifications. 4. Alternate Bid Item No. 1: Division D - Outfall and Service Water Improvements a. Central Plant Outfall Structure improvements including structure, automated valves and gate, stop log, slip-on duckbill check valve, headwall modifications, and outfall pipe cleaning; Central Plant outfall instrumentation and samplers; Service water piping network additions and new service water hydrants and valves; new service water pump and strainer located in the transfer pump building; and new service water hydropneumatic tank located in the blower building. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
