HISTORY & BACKGROUND Building 3 (NSA Philadelphia) was originally constructed in 1943 as an open warehouse The building is approximately 203,212 s.f. (202' x 1,006') and is comprised of four sections (A, B, C, and D). Between 1997 &1999 Building 3 underwent a major renovation to convert its use from a warehouse to a one-story office building for DLA (Defense Logistics Agency). In 1999, openings were saw cut into the existing masonry walls for the installation of windows (see Part 6 - Attachments for reference). Per DLA's request, the project intent is for these windows (1999) to be replaced with energy efficient windows (frames, mullions, and glazing). Building 3 is a contributing resource to the Aviation Supply Office Historical District. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
