Merillat PLEX Addition - Renovation

Demolition, site work, remodeling and addition to an educational facility in Huntington, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the remodel of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility. Huntington University will be receiving bids from General Contractors for work related to the Huntington Merillat Complex (PLEX) project located on the Huntington University campus. The PLEX is an athletics facility, originally constructed in the 1970's with a gym, locker room Administrations, offices, and a pool. In the early 1990's, the facility was expanded to add the indoor track fieldhouse, locker rooms west of the gym, racquetball courts, and classroom/weight rooms south of the gym. This project will construct a new building entrance and lobby, a new multi-purpose gymnasium, a new fitness room, and renovate the majority of the existing facility Contractor shall include the cost of a satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the Bid Sum. Cost of bond shall be included in the base bid. See Supplementary Conditions for complete details Work for this project shall begin upon award and the construction will need to be phased to accommodate owner use of the facility throughout construction, and accommodate sports seasons. Bidders shall indicate their proposed completion date on the Bid Form - July 1 st , 2024 or earlier is preferred. By submitting this bid, the bidder agrees to this completion date and has included in their bid all measures necessary to accomplish this requirement. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
