Invitation For Bid #36C24223B0035 to Replace Central Chillers at the Lyons VAMC This project is to Replace Central Chillers at the VA NJ Healthcare System's Lyons Campus 151 Knollcroft Rd. Lyons, NJ 07939. The contractor shall furnish all materials, supplies, equipment, personnel and supervision to accomplish project number 561A4-18-101 Replace Central Chillers IAW the Statement of Work, Specifications and Drawings attached hereto. The Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of 8AM to 4:30PM EST except as noted in the general conditions and as approved by the Contracting Officer. NAICS: 238220 Size Standard: $19M Magnitude of Construction: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000.000 Period of Performance: 365 calendar days from issuance from the Notice to Proceed This requirement is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Project is to provide the Lyons VA Medical Center (VAMC) with 2 new centrifugal chillers, 5 new variable speed pumps, and 4 new rooftop exhaust fans at building 136, Central Chiller Plant. 2. Background. Project is necessary to update and replace two Chillers and associated equipment that are located in Building 136 at the Lyons Campus. The existing chillers are both past their useful life expectancy. 3. Scope. This project will remove and replace 2 existing chillers, 5 existing pumps and 4 existing exhaust fans at the Lyons VAMC central chiller plant. By the end of construction, the Lyons VAMC should have the following new pieces of equipment: *1 new 700-ton centrifugal chiller (Chiller #2) *1 new 1,000-ton centrifugal chiller (Chiller #3) *3 new secondary chilled water pumps (pumps # 4, 5 and 6) *2 new condenser water pumps (Pumps # 8 and 9) *4 new roof mounted exhaust fans (Fans # 1, 2, 3 and 4) *1 new automatic transfer switch (ATS #8) *1 new manual transfer switch (MTS # 8) *2 new pad-mounted transformers (Transformer #5 and 6) *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
