Description

Supply and install a new "hole-less" 2 stop hydraulic elevator in the existing elevator shaft way to include the removal the existing elevator and equipment. (Abandonment of the existing lift cylinder is acceptable if code complaint). The new elevator must include all code and ADA compliant signals and cab controls. Include any other upgrades required to bring elevator o current state codes. New, non-proprietary equipment controllers. Include al wiring (low and line voltage) required for this week from existing sources within machine room. Provide all required barricades at shaft-ways during week. Assume work to be performed within an operating facility during normal work hours. Coordinate all operation with library facility staff. Include daily cleanup and removal of debris. Area to be kept clean and neat at all times. Protect existing finishes as required to prevent damage. Include 16 hours of temporary elevator operation prior to turnover to support work of other trades. Identify with proposal work required by others to provide current code compliance, not within this contractor's scope. Include permit submission and cost. Provide shop drawings for owner review and permitting. Include owner training at completion of work. Provide an estimate of the "out of service" time period for this week to be completed.
