Eastwood Preserve Barn Renovation

The project intent is to make the existing barn utility building safe to occupy. The renovation scope includes but is not limited to: demolition of existing interior floor and roof structure, installation of Pole-barn type structure inside the exterior walls, concrete foundations, framing connections to the existing masonry walls, repair and/or replacement of existing windows and doors, and pointing the existing mortar joints. The intent is to limit alteration work to the building including a 5 foot perimeter for scaffolding etc. The building is not electrified, or heated and or/ cooled. The building has no existing plumbing. No change to building use or occupancy. No change to construction type or building area. The project intent is not to bring all the structures into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities / ansi 117a code. The occupant load is being reduced by half: the existing 2nd floor loft is being removed. The building is used in daylight hours only, and is naturally ventilated using windows and continuous roof ridge vent.
