Award may be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting applicable county and state procurement requirements. In reviewing the bids received, the County reserves the right to reject, for any reason whatsoever, any and all bids, and to waive any informality or irregularity in a bid. The County reserves the right to accept the bid that provides the best value to the County in the County s sole discretion. The County reserves the right to make a determination in the County s sole discretion as to the sufficiency of qualifications of any bidder. The action to award a contract is subject to approval by the Board of County Commissioners. The submission of a bid does not in any way commit the County to enter into an agreement or contract with that bidder. The culvert site is located on Marine Road, which is a paved county road. Marine Road can be accessed directly from U.S. Highway 50 via LaSalle Road or from Highway 550 via State Highway 90. 3. A special load transport permit is required by Montrose County for loads more than 16 feet wide, 16 feet high or 110 feet long. The cost of the County special load transport permit will be waived by the County for this project if the delivery load exceeds the County dimension thresholds. 4. If the delivery date stated in the bid is not met, the County may assess liquidated damages against the Contractor in the amount of $300.00 for each calendar day beyond the stated delivery date on the bid form Question Deadline Sep 05, 2023 at 2:00 PM
