Description

Base contract (12 months), with an option for two; twelve (12) month contract extensions, for the provision of emulsified Polymers for the following uses: Centrifuge for anaerobic sludge dewatering, Gravity Belt Thickener operations for Waste Activated Sludge, (both Cationic) and for coagulation of aluminum sulfate used for Phosphorus removal (Anionic). Polydyne Clarifloc C-9530 and Anionic A-228 are the polymers currently being utilized by the City of Crystal Lake. Prior to awarding the contract to the successful bidder, the City’s evaluation process will include primary and secondary levels of qualifying. The primary qualification will be lowest cost as determined based on the pounds of neat product needed for each function. The secondary qualification will be the bidder’s product ability to meet the City’s performance specifications as described in the section titled “Quality” of the Invitation to Bid document. The City also reserves the right to split the award among different bidders if it’s in the City’s best interest.
