Blue Springs Plantation Road Sale

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is marked thinning of approximately 107 acres of mature natural longleaf pine and 43 acres of 22 year old planted longleaf pine from the Blue Springs Tract of Twin Rivers State Forest in Hamilton County, Florida. Timber to be removed from both stands includes all timber marked with blue paint. Unmarked timber or trees with orange polka dot flagging are not to be harvested or damaged. Sale boundaries are roads, firelines, flagged lines, or obvious timber type changes. The estimated volumes of timber to be removed includes 943 tons of pine pulpwood, 437 tons of chip-n-saw and 1,074 tons of sawtimber. Additional timber may be marked during harvesting activities. This will be a twelve (12) month contract.
