Description

For BP04 McCarthy is looking for bids from the following trades: Misc. Metals Joint Sealants Sheet Metal Flashings Expansion Joints Smoke Doors Painting The Gregory Bateson Building Renovation is a 4-story, 308,000 sf renovation Department of General Services (DGS). The project is currently in the Progressive Design-Build Phase with construction to start Fall of 2022. This public project is funded through the State Project Infrastructure Fund (SPIF) and will be procured under a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). Due to the buildings' original innovations forward thinking for energy conservation is in the process of becoming a state registered Historic Building. The Gregory Bateson Building located at 1600 9th St in downtown Sacramento, Ca encompasses a whole city block. This is the first major renovation of this historic building and will upgrade all the buildings systems, exterior envelope, and complete interior retrofit including tenant improvements to house the new program occupants. The building is owned and operated by DGS and will house various state agencies. This project has mandatory 3% Disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and a goal of 25% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with McCarthy Building Companies. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Proposal for, or engage in the performance of any portion of this Project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
