Description | South Slope Wastewater Treatment Plant Excess Flow Clarifier Modifications. Construction, Demolition/Building Removal/Hauling/Salvage, Concrete/Formed/Flatwork/Foundation, Mechanical Systems, Sawcutting/Sidewalk/Pavement, Water and Wastewater Facilities, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure, Water Resources Infrastructure, Concrete Repair The Project includes the following Work: Removal and replacement of two existing Excess Flow Clarifier Mechanisms including motors, drives, mechanical equipment, bridges, and railings. The Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 10% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. Bidders will be required to comply with all laws, including those relating to the employment of labor and the payment of the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform such work, also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work (including, but not necessarily limited to 820 ILCS 130/1 12 the "Prevailing Wage Act") as ascertained by the Department of Labor for Rock Island County, Illinois shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or to perform such work. If at the time this Contract is executed, or if during the term of this Contract, there is excessive unemployment in Illinois as defined in the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, 30 ILCS 570, as two consecutive months of unemployment exceeding 5%, CONTRACTOR agrees to employ a work force that consists of at least 90% Illinois laborers. An "Illinois laborer" is defined as any person who has resided in Illinois for at least 30 days and intends to become or remain an Illinois resident. The Bidder shall require all subcontractors (if any) to conform with said laws, and any rules or regulations now and thereafter issued pursuant to said laws by Bidder, his subcontractors, and/or anyone working through or on behalf of Bidder or Bidder's subcontractors. The City of Moline, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 85 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder.
