2022 Televising and Cleaning

The project involves the televising and/or cleaning of approximately 48,823 lineal feet of sanitary sewer for portions of MMSD's West Interceptor, Nine Springs Valley Interceptor, and Far East Interceptor. Pipes are located in areas within the City of Madison and the City of Fitchburg. Pipe size range from 12" to 54". Pipe materials include reinforced concrete pipe, vitrified clay, ductile iron, and polyvinyl chloride pipe. Pipe age ranges from 6 to 90 years old. Additonal Description: All bidders must be pre-qualified for this specific work. All Contractors seeking to become pre-qualified for this type of work must provide written documentation that their personnel have adequate experience and training in the televising and cleaning of sanitary pipelines and that the equipment to be used is commercially acceptable and meets all requirements of the specifications. For the contractor to be qualified, they must have 1,600 feet minimum of televising cable and be capable of jetting up to 1,600 feet at one time. The contractor must have PACP-certified data collection software capable of generating televising data in database format. All prospective bidders must submit qualifications for review and approval by the District. Prequalification applications will be distributed with the Contract documents or can be obtained from the District. Bidders who have already submitted prequalification documentation to the District within the current calendar year need not resubmit, but must notify the District in writing by the due date (using the form provided) of their desire to prequalify for this specific work. Prequalification applications must be completed and emailed to prequalifications@madsewer.org no later than 4:00 p.m. (local time) on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Bidders will be notified only of disqualification no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022. If a bidder has not filed the prequalification application, their proposal shall not be opened. Bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid amount shall accompany each Bid in Accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
