Description | Southeast Elementary School, Masonry Column Replacement Project All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty & Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier s check or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates) No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the bid opening Questions concerning this project may be addressed to Taylor Consulting Group, Greg Taylor, (440-840-9019) or gtaylor@tcgroupdesign.com. Construction Estimate: $106,890.00. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bids to the extent permitted by law. Without force and effect on requirements of the contract documents, the descriptive of the work of the Contract can be summarized as follows: 1. Project Drawings TS-1, RC-1, and RC-2 are for contractor reference only. Contractor shall visit the site, analyze and measure specific work items and otherwise be knowledgeable of the roofing work required. 2. All staging, scaffolding and erection necessary to complete specified work. Contractor shall properly barricade staging work areas with temporary fencing and shall protect building materials from damage at all times. Dumpsters, bathroom facilities, and ground material storage shall be located within the construction staging area. 3. Contractor must keep the grounds clean. Any damage to the green belt area or surrounding pavement shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor is responsible for keeping the roof watertight throughout the construction process. Special care shall be taken during the demolition phase to minimize the level of debris accumulation. 4. Full compliance with all applicable safety requirements including federal OSHA, state and local requirements. 5. Contractor shall provide supervision and coordination of the Work with the Owner and all sub-contractors. 6. Maintain good housekeeping practices, debris shall not be allowed to accumulate, but will be removed from the site on a daily basis. At the completion of the job, all areas shall be left clean to the satisfaction of the Owner's representative 7. Contractor's operations shall at all times be conducted to protect contents and persons within the facility and to prevent spread of materials or debris into the interior of the building. 8. Contractor personnel shall conduct themselves in a professional and workmanlike manner with a minimum of noise and confusion. Boisterous conduct, harassment and profane language on the job are prohibited. 9. Southeast Schools are NON-SMOKING - NO TOBACCO PRODUCTS facilities; tobacco products will not be permitted in or on Southeast School properties. B. BASE BID ITEM 1: Southeast Elementary School Column Replacement 1. Southeast Elementary School - Column Replacement a. Provide all necessary shoring to remove bottom sections of column. b. Remove and replace brick masonry all 10 noted columns. c. Remove and replace existing shelf plate per detail 3/RC-2. d. Remove and replace bottom 36" of existing 6" x 6" x 3/16" post per detail 2/RC-2. e. Remove and Replace Concrete as necessary to replace column |
