Water Meter Tap and Set Services

The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials and supplies needed to tap and set City-provided water meter assemblies. These City-provided water meter assemblies will typically include the meter, meter box, meter transmission unit (MTU), and any other associated parts designated for each task. Start work the next business day after notification from the City representative. Contact the home builder to verify location and distance from the curb for the meter assembly and meter box placement. Proceed to the City’s Distribution Service Center at 701 E Hwy 80 to pick up the required material prior to arrival on site. Perform required tasks in accordance with all applicable codes, ordinances and manufacturer specifications, including verification that actual water flow is registering on the meter.
