Description | Tryon Farm Institute, Inc. Tryon Barn Restoration Project OWNER AND WORK Tryon Farm Institute, Inc., a nonprofit, hereby gives notice that sealed bids will be received for the Tryon Barn Restoration Project. This project is generally described as follows: repair and restoration of barn basement walls, drainage, and gutter installation. All work completed as part of this project must comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for the Rehabilitation of Historic Properties. The Secretary of the I n t e ri o r' s St a n d a r d s a n d Guidelines are made part hereof by reference and must be complied with in this project. REQUIRED SUBMISSION Each bidder shall file with his or her sealed proposal: (1) Bid Form included in Bid Documents; (2) Questionnaire Form 96 of the State Board of Accounts including a properly executed NonCollusion Affidavit as required by the laws of the State of Indiana; (3) a cashier's check or certified check drawn on an acceptable bank or a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. CONTRACT SECURITY The Successful Bidder to whom a contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to the contract price within 14 days of the signing of the contract. Final payment for project completion will be contingent upon the work being approved by the Indiana D e p a r t m e n t o f N a t u r a l Resources, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. BID REJECTION/ACCEPTANCE The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid, which best serves the interests of Tryon Farm Institute. Contractor selection must be approved by the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology. A D D I T I O N A L P R O J E C T I N F O R M A T I O N This project is funded in part by a grant from the National Park Service's Historic Preservation Fund Program administered by the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations is required, including: federal and state audit requirements, prohibition on lobbying activities, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, the National Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Lead-Based Paint Poisoning Prevention Act, the Architectural Barriers Act, and Executive Orders and Department of Labor regulations regarding Equal Employment Opportunity.
