Description | The Contractor shall execute and complete the following scope of work for roof removal and disopsal, fiberglass dome removal and reinstallation, terne plate replacement, and new fiberglass teepee installation. - Install 6 mil plastic covering over all electronic equipment inside the VOR shelter. - Remove and prepare for shipment existing fiberglass antenna dome. Remove and preserve 16 monitor antennas and mounting plates, located around roof perimeter. - Remove and dispose of existing roofing material down to the 2 x 6 tongue and groove wood decking, including membrane overlay, metal terne plate, flashings and other associated roof materials. - Install 3/4" plywood over existing wood decking. - Install ice/water shield and rosin paper atop wood decking. - Install 2" x 6" curved planking at the roof perimeter, along the underside to the existing deck, so as to provide a nailer for the roof edge strip. - Install new copper terne plate. - Install ground brackets and reattach existing ground leads. - Install new metal edge or terminal strip where required to adequately secure existing roof surface perimeter, along edge fascia. Use 0.050 aluminum edge. - Survey for the new locations of the 16 monitor antennas. Install 16 monitor antenna mounting brackets and plates. - Install 2" x 6" curved planking at the roof perimeter, along the underside to the existing deck, so as to provide a nailer for the roof edge strip. - Install new metal edge or terminal strip where required to adequately secure existing roof surface perimeter, along edge fascia. Use 0.050 aluminum edge. - Install rubber walk pads after roof has cured (approximately 28 days). Adhere with finish coat material applied with "bulk loader" with two adhesive strips parallel to roof slope. - Waste and excess materials are the responsibility of the contractor and shall be removed from the site. - Install GFM fiberglass teepee. | ||
