Survey the Existing Electric Distribution in the UVA Physics Building Renovations

Proposals to Survey the Existing Electric Distribution in the UVA Physics Building in preparation for the renovation work currently planned for that building from qualified Electrical Contractors. The Survey will include tracing existing feeds to all existing panels in the building East, West (1950`s Building) and North (1980`s Building). Further, survey will include confirmation of electric feeds to ALL devices in the East portion of the 1950`s Building; transformers outside 1980`s building serves no areas other than 1980`s addition; routing of underground utilities for coordination with new underground duct bank; and Electrical Engineer`s requirements for reuse of existing gear in 1980`s building. The latter is important because the current plan is to keep the East portion of the building active and occupied while the West portion is renovated. Also, the survey work will include as a deliverable, at a minimum, electronic drawings of: 1. A Riser of distribution to existing electric panels East, West and North with routing of the conduits. 2. Floor Plans using the Existing Drawings as Layout indicating feeds for East devices and equipment feeds. Lighting feeds can be indicated by room rather than by device. 3. A schematic riser of the Existing Fire Alarm System. 4. A schematic Riser of the existing data distribution system. The intent is to complete the majority of the field survey work during August 2021 (Summer Break) and providing the survey documents by September 2021.
