Description

Questions are submitted online No The Road Commission for Oakland County is requesting proposals for a Vactor Disposal Station for RCOC Lake Orion Garage located at 1100 South Lapeer Road, Lake Orion, MI 48360. Lump-sum pricing. The Contractor shall provide Portland cement concrete mixtures for the project that are resistant to excessive expansion caused by alkali-silica reactivity (ASR). The evaluation as to the resistance of submitted concrete mixtures to excessive expansion caused by ASR shall be by the Engineer as described herein. This Special Provision is supplemental to all other specifications within this contract related to the construction of all concrete items for the project. Saw cut and removal of asphalt and base. Asphalt can be disposed on site Provide and install a 4.5' diameter Aqua swirl chamber with 8" bedding of base material and backfill with approved material 21AA limestone compacted to not less than 95% of its maximum unit weight. Provide top casting to be adjusted to match finish grade. Provide and install 2000 gallon traffic interceptor tank with 12" bedding of base material and back fill with approved material 21AA limestone compacted to not less than 95% of its maximum unit weight. Provide top castings (3) to be adjusted to match finish grade Provide and install two 4' diameter sanitary manhole to include a solid and cemented base and 8" bedding of base material 21AA limestone compacted to not less than 95% of its maximum unit weight. Provide top castings (2) to be adjusted to match finish grade. Provide and install one 4' diameter sanitary manhole to include a solid and cemented base and 8" bedding of base material 21AA limestone compacted to not less than 95% of its maximum unit weight. Provide top casting to be adjusted to match finish grade. Provide and install gas trap into manhole to meet township specifications Make booted connections to the existing sanitary line. Contractor will be responsible for third party compaction testing and removal of all spoils from site Install approximately 56' of 12" RCP between the structures with booted sealing at all structure taps and backfill with Class II granular material and compact. Plumbing will be on a 0.4% grade Concrete must meet minimum mix design requirements for Grade D per RCOC12SP605B and be fiber reinforced. Construction of a 30'X30' concrete dewatering and cleanout station to include epoxy rebar per specifications. Main pad will be designed with a 2% fall toward the trench drain. Concrete will be 9 inches depth on the outer 23 feet and 18 inches depth in the last 6 feet under the wall with a compacted base of 12 inches of approved material 21AA limestone compacted to not less than 95% of its maximum unit weight. Contractor will include reinforcement of the backwall by way of a center wall, center wall shall be 12 inches width by 25 feet with epoxy rebar anchoring to the pad and back wall, center wall shall be attached to back wall no more than 6 inches from top and taper down to 24 inches at the outer end. Trench drain grate will be constructed at the end of the side walls and framing shall be reinforced with epoxy coated anchors and grates shall be designed to be removable and support 36000 lbs axle weight minimum. A slosh bump will be constructed outside of the trench drain the entire length of the structure.
