IS 95 Traffic Barrier Corridor Upgrades in Howard County

The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Minority Business Enterprises participate in all State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. Number: AC-HSIPG-95-1(525)E This area-wide, open-ended, on-call Contract, located in Howard County, is for the upgrade of existing traffic barriers along the Interstate 95 Corridor, including replacement of barriers, end treatments, and transition hardware, shoulder grading adjustments, and turfgrass establishment. This is a non-exclusive Contract. It does not include all work expected to be performed in the designated areas. Therefore, at times, other Contractors may be performing similar work that is not associated with this Contract. Minimum wage rates, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon latest the blank electronic proposal form (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, unless otherwise stated in the IFB. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00, unless otherwise stated in the IFB.
