Taxiway A Rehabilitation - Phase III - TW - A, D and GA Apron

The proposed project generally includes approximately 1,100 lf x 50 Linear Feet (LF) of Taxiway “A” between the Terminal Apron, and mid-way between Taxiway “D” and Taxiway “E”, including approximately 220 LF x 90 LF of stub Taxiway “D”. Total taxiway pavement area to be rehabilitated is approximately 108,000 SF. Also included in the project is approximately 110,000 Square Feet (SF) of the General Aviation (“GA”) Apron pavement rehabilitation. No edge lighting or guidance sign improvements will be addressed as part of this project. Pavement rehabilitation construction is expected to generally include the following major items of work: 1. Milling of the existing surface course and cleaning and sealing of existing cracks with new bituminous material. 2. Application of a bituminous tack coat. 3. Construction of a true and leveling course to reestablish longitudinal and transverse grades. 4. Construction of a 2 to 3-inch bituminous surface course. 5. Application of new pavement markings. 6. Pavement rehabilitation is limited to the existing pavement footprint and the disturbance of turf will be limited to placement of topsoil and establishing turf within 50 feet of the pavement edge to raise or lower grades to match the overlay. 7. No improvements to the existing lighting and signage systems are proposed as part of this project. Turf adjustments adjacent to the pavement areas shall accommodate existing fixtures.
