Description

The Purpose of This Project Is to Overlay Approximately 0.221 Miles and Construct One Composite Wbeam Unit (Total Length 146.3 ') of Highway 161 in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties. This Project Consists of Earthwork, Aggregate Base Course, Achm Binder and Surface Courses, Cold Milling Asphalt Pavement, Achm Patching of Existing Roadway, Approach Slabs and Gutters, Maintenance of Traffic, Concrete Ditch Paving, Minor Drainage Structures, Guardrail, Erosion Control, Pavement Marking, and Misc. Items. Routes : 161 Sections : 5 County : Lonoke & Pulaski Length: 0.249 mile in length. This Proposal Contains the Special Provision "establishing Contract Time - Working Day Contract" in Which the Bidder Will Determine the Number of Working Days to Complete the Project. Questions Pertaining to Projects During the Advertisement Period Should Be Addressed to the Program Management Division at Pmd@ardot.gov. the Deadline to Submit a Question Is the Wednesday Prior to the Scheduled Letting Date. a Question Submitted After the Close of Business on the Wednesday Prior to the Scheduled Letting Date May Not Receive a Response. In Order to Have a Bid Considered, Contractors Must Furnish a Proposal Guaranty Consisting of Either a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount Bid. in Order for a Bond to Be Acceptable to the Department, the Company Issuing the Bond Must Be Named in the Department of Treasury Listing of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies. the Underwriting Limitation of the Bonding Company Shall Be Adhered to. Any Excess (Between the Face Amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) Shall Be Protected by Reinsurance Provided by an Acceptable Reinsuring Company. This project consists of removal and disposal items, aggregate base course, fog seal, ACHM surface course, ultrathin bonded wearing course, cold milling asphalt pavement, ACHM patching of existing roadway, approach gutters, maintenance of traffic, guardrail, rumble stripes, pavement marking, and misc.
