| Description | The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is issuing this Sources Sought notice as part of its market research for an anticipated contract for facility maintenance services. DeCA provides routine and mission-critical supermarket resources to support the military community both in the Contiguous United States (48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia, hereinafter referenced as "CONUS") and Outside CONUS (OCONUS) on a surcharge basis, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. DeCA's operational goal is to provide this service regardless of geographic location. DeCA facilities encompass mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and electronic monitoring equipment necessary to provide continuous, redundant environmental support to mission-critical food supplies at each of its commissary sites. Because of the complexity and need for consistency of this support, dedicated maintenance, repair, alteration, engineering, and construction work is essential to ensure mission-critical food supplies remain constant and uninterrupted. A contract(s) is needed for maintenance services for its above mentioned facilities. DeCA has the required geographical areas broken down into 8 maintenance groups. The awarded contractor(s) will be required to provide facility maintenance and repair services to DeCA commissaries and distribution centers located in the CONUS, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Description of Program: The essential requirement of this contract is to provide a proactive and responsive facilities maintenance regimen for each of the commissary sites listed, enabling DeCA to deliver food supplies to authorized customers in a cost-effective manner while minimizing disruption to sales operations. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
