Description | Improvements to existing stormwater pump station including new 500 gpm submersible pumps, controls, associated appurtenances, replacement of approximately 60 LF of existing force main, and replacement of approximately 50 LF of existing gravity main. a. Project has been downloaded by Terrys Plumbing, SKC, and Dellinger. b. The proposal is a Lump Sum contract - signature pages were not included in the bid documents and will be provided with the Addendum No.1. These pages need to be completed when submitting your bid. c. MWBE Requirements apply to this project 10% goal provide appropriate affidavits with Bid and during the project. Guidelines are provided in project manual. Submit HUB Certification Participation form with Bid along with Attachment A or B. d. No Bid Bond is required to be submitted with the bid. Also, Performance and Payment Bonds will not be required. For Contract execution, submit Appendix C or D and other required documents. e. Time of Completion in the Project Manual is 60 days and Liquidated damages of $500 as described on first page of Supplementary General Conditions. We will work with the contractor for start of project time based on anticipated delivery of the pumps and controls. f. Work hours: Zoo verify - 8:00 - 5:00 weekdays. If needed other work times can be arranged if coordinated with Zoo staff. g. Parking should be off site at other Zoo parking area to limit number of vehicles on site to 1 or 2. Access for equipment and material delivery should be coordinated with Zoo staff. h. Replace stormwater line as noted on plans. i. Bypass pumping will be required while the pumps are out of service. This will be to handle constant water entering the stormwater system and when a storm occurs. The capacity shall be based on the proposed pump capacity of 500 gpm. Discharge can be in the last MH or directly into the pond as long as there is a settling area for the flow and the pipe is set so it can be driven over. j. Electrical improvements include setting a weather shield over the new Stormwater pump control panel and the existing sewer pump control panel. |
