Addition and Remodeling Armstrong-Ellis Grade School

Project consists of a 2,870 square foot Band/Art room addition to the existing elementary school. Project cost range is anticipated to be $700,000 to $750,000. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bidding and to accept the bids deemed most favorable to their interest, after all bids have been examined and evaluated. A bid bond, bank draft, or certified check made payable to Armstrong-Ellis CUSD 61, Armstrong Illinois in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid proposal shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish satisfactory, execute the Contract and proceed with the Work. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit or amount of bid bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or errors on the part of the Bidder will excuse the Bidder or entitle him to a return of the deposit or bid bond. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 45 days after the date of opening thereof. The bid bonds or checks will, with the exception of those of the three lowest bidders, be returned seven days after the opening of bids and the remaining checks or bid bonds will be returned when the Contract is executed. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
