Description | The work location is shown on the general location and site maps. Brian Head Fire Campgrounds, Roads, and Motorized trail clearing consists of mechanically cutting and stacking of burnt trees. A feller buncher, log skidder (tracked or wheeled with chains), and a log loader or track hoe with thumb are required for this project. Approximately 207 acres, dependent upon budget constraints and bid prices. Project areas are listed in priority order in the following table. Generally areas to be cleared are 50 feet from roads and trails, 10 feet from roads and trails where rocks, topography or streams limit equipment operation, or 200 feet from roads where skidding is required. Blue Springs is treating 75 feet from the road to the group campsite. | ||
