Description | Milling of existing asphaltic concrete roadways and parking lot resurfacing using types-1 or type s-3 asphalt; street asphalt patching and paving less than 1,000 total square yards; center lining, pavement markers and thermoplastic application. The City of Fernandina Beach annual invitation to bid to mill existing roadways, furnish and lay approximately 25,000- 50,000 square yards of asphalt on local streets and parking. Contract is to be turn-key. Contractor is to furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, maintenance of traffic and other material necessary to mill and lay asphalt. Subcontractors must be insured for the coverage limits required by the City and meet Drug Free workplace requirements. Contractor will be required to meet all FDOT requirements and will be responsible for managing all pedestrian and vehicle traffic control and site clean-up. Type S-1 and Type S-III Asphalt must comply with Florida Department of Transportation Standards Manual specifications. Material and installation Bid is to be quoted per Square Yard indicating price break intervals based on quantity. Milling Bid is to be quoted per Square Yard indicating price break levels based on quantity, STREET ASPHALT PATCHING AND PAVING LESS THAN 1,000 TOTAL SQUARE YARDS Utility cut patching with asphalt up to 2" thick. Typical patch events will consist of multiple patches totaling between 100 and 1,000 yards. Patches will occur on active City streets and parking lots. Contractor will be required to remove excess lime rock, cold mix, or asphalt to obtain min 1" depth. Contractor will be required to saw-cut asphalt as needed. Patching must be completed within 21 days of request. |
