Description

The Village of Weston ("Village") is seeking development proposals ("Proposals") from qualified firms ("Developers") for the opportunity to purchase and develop Village-owned property at 5500 Schofield Ave. (Parcel ID: 192-2808-164-0982). The Village Board considers this property ("Site") an important site that offers unique mixed use, commercial, and residential development opportunities. Currently, the property is zoned Institutional, due to its current/former use as a municipal center. The vision for the property's development is still emerging and the Village will look at Developer proposals and prioritize them according to job creation potential, market demand, and highest economic and financial benefit to the Village. The Village will consider rezoning to maximize the economic, quality of life, and financial benefits. Note: all land use changes will require Village Plan Commission and Village Board approval. The Village is open to proposals that address both rehabilitation or demolition and new construction. The Village is not bound to accept any proposal for this project and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
