Description

Original Set Aside: Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) Set-Aside (specific to Department of Interior). The Contractor shall provide all supervision, tools, materials and labor to perform the following: • Furnish and install approximately 1,260 square feet of Milliken Midnight Sparkle carpet tile – style: Shetland, color: 238 Blueberry Tweed. • Furnish and install Milliken Formwork carpet planks border -- color: Denim 123 • Furnish and install Johnsonite transitions, as required – color: Black Carpet will be laid over existing tile. The Government will be responsible for removing the wax on the ceramic tile at least three (3) days before installation of carpeting. Contractor is responsible for coordinating installation date with the Government at least seven (7) days in advance. Additional carpet tiles and adhesive shall be provided to the Government for any necessary replacements to accommodate for spills, stains and normal day-to-day wear and tear. Surface Preparation: Prep the floor for any possible interferences, door jams, etc. Layout: Vendor must identify any potential complications that may interfere with the final product. Adhesive: Vendor must ensure they are using the correct adhesive for a high traffic area and is available for OJS to apply to replacement tiles if spills, stains and normal day-to-day wear and tear may occur. Tile Usage: Vendor must utilize an efficient layout is necessary to gain the most out of every square tile per square foot. Tile Setting: Tiles must set for a minimum of 24 hours before being walked on to allow proper drying. Excessive adhesive must be removed and no remaining adhesive must be seen after drying process. Tiles must be set to have an even surface at final inspection.
