Beacon Demolition/Installation

The scope of work being considered is: 1. Demolition of existing Airport Beacon; 2. Installation of new Airport Beacon on a new tower/tip-down pole; and 3. Electrical trenching from existing Electrical Vault to new Airport Beacon. This contract will be funded, in part, by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration. As such, it will be subject to federal requirements. These include, but are not limited to: 9) Buy American Preference 10) Civil Rights-Title VI Assurances 11) Davis Bacon Requirements 12) Debarment and Suspension 13) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) 14) Federal Trade Restrictions 15) Lobbying Federal Employees 16) Recovered Materials The estimated construction cost is from $175,000 to $225,000 Est. Completion Date: Aug. 30, 2024 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Notice to Proceed for Phase 1 is anticipated in August or September 2023, at the convenience of the Owner. Notice to Proceed for Phase 2 is anticipated in Summer 2024, at the convenience of the Owner A 15 calendar day period is allowed over two phases for all contractor work associated with the project. Work in Phase 1 shall be completed in 10 continuous calendar days. Work in Phase 2 shall be completed in 5 continuous calendar days. Contract time will be paused between the completion of Phase 1 work to the start of Phase 2 work.
