Description

The general scope of work related to the well construction, development, performance testing and water quality sampling and analysis includes the following: 1. Site clearing, grubbing and preparation per Section 02100, Clearing, Grubbing and Site Preparation. 2. Construct temporary erosion and sediment control measures per Section 02276, Temporary Erosion and Sedimentation Control. 3. Mobilize drilling equipment to site, per Section 02850, Well Mobilization and Cleanup. 4. Install a pit casing per Section 02852, Casing. Depth and diameter is at the discretion of the CONTRACTOR. 5. Drill pilot hole to 150 feet below land surface, per Section 02851, Drilling, and perform geophysical logging of pilot hole in accordance with Section 02853, Geophysical Logging. 6. Ream pilot hole to a nominal 29-inch diameter to a depth of approximately 130 feet below land surface, per Section 02851, Drilling, and perform geophysical logging in accordance with Section 02853, Geophysical Logging 7. Install 24-inch steel surface casing to approximately 130 feet, in accordance with Section 02852, Casing. 8. Grout casing to surface in accordance with Section 02854, Grouting. 9. Drill pilot hole to 380 feet below land surface, per Section 02851, Drilling and perform geophysical logging of pilot hole in accordance with Section 02853, Geophysical Logging. 10. Ream a nominal 23-inch borehole to approximately 360 feet below land surface, in accordance with Section 02851, Drilling, and perform geophysical logging in accordance with Section 02853, Geophysical Logging. 11. Install 17.4-inch Certa-Lok casing to approximately 360 feet in accordance with Section 02852, Casing. 12. Grout casing to surface in accordance with Section 02854, Grouting. 13. Conduct Plumbness and Alignment Test in accordance with Section 02852, Casing, and AWWA Standards. 14. Drill out the cement plug in the base of the casing and convert to reverse-air rotary drilling in accordance with Section 02851, Drilling. 15. Drill nominal 15-inch borehole to 600 feet by reverse air rotary method, in accordance with Section 02851, Drilling. Bid Security shall be made payable to TOHO, in an amount of five percent of the Bidder's maximum utility Bid price and in the form of a certified or cashier's check, a Bid Bond on the form provided (or substantial equivalent) issued by a Surety meeting the requirements of paragraph 5.1 of the General Conditions, or other security as provided by law.
