Description | Work to Be Done: The successful Bidder shall provide all skill; labor, materials, and equipment for the instillation of storm drain pipe and associated structures to replace existing storm systems under Chris Road and Hinson Lane at the Sterling Drainage Ditch (near the intersection of Hwy 99 and Hwy 341). The work will require construction of lane shifting, traffic control, Erosion and Sediment Control removal of existing asphalt and base, installation of storm infrastructure in 2 locations, backfill, repaving, and stabilizing the disturbed area. The majority of the project will be conducted in the County's Drainage Easement. All work shall be in accordance with the construction drawings and technical Specifications, if any. All materials shall conform to the specifications contained in the Technical Specifications, if any. This project qualifies as a "horizontal project" (see question #8 in the pre-qualification packet Concerning road, drainage, and bridge projects. This will explain the use of current dot Certification for the project) and does require pre-qualification. Pre-qualification questionnaires And pre-qualification criteria may be downloaded at electronically. pre-qualification Questionnaires must be received no later than 5 p.M., est tuesday july 5th, 2022. There will not be pre-bid meeting for this project. Any questions and /or misunderstandings that may arise from this invitation shall be submitted, in writing and forwarded, to the Procurement Officer, Resden Talbert at rtalbert@glynncounty-ga.gov no later than June 23rd, 2022. All Questions and Answers submitted will be posted to the website no later than June 24th, 2022. Answers to questions submitted that materially change the conditions and specifications of this invitation for bid will be promulgated to all addressees as an addendum. Any discussions or documents will be considered non-binding unless incorporated and promulgated in an addendum. The Glynn County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, reject any or all bids, and make the award in the best interest of the County. Contract time shall consist of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY( 120) consecutive calendar days for the completion of work, to be computed from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages may be assessed at THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300) per day. Bid and Contract Security: Each Proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond for an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid. If for any reason whatsoever the Bidder withdraws from the competition after opening the bids, or if he refuses to execute the Contract, the Owner will proceed on the Bid Bond. The Surety of the Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond shall be a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, shall be listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, and shall have an underwriting limitation in excess of 100% of the bid amount. The Bonds and Surety shall be subject to approval by the Attorney for the Owner. |
