Description

The major work consists of drilling and casing a new municipal well, including developing, testing, and related tasks at the City of Livingston Well 8A site located on North Main Street, approximately 300 feet north of Celia Drive. Work also includes equipping a 1,500-gpm municipal well with a vertical turbine pump, electric motor, well discharge and site yard piping, connection to the existing GAC filter piping manifold, electrical equipment, and miscellaneous improvements to the well site. The time for completion is two hundred (200) working days. In accordance with the provision of Section 3300 of the Public Contract Code, at the time this contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class A California State Contractor's License. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county, or counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available from the California Department of Industrial Relations. Future effective general prevailing wage rates, which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the general prevailing wage rates. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each proposal shall be accompanied by cashier's or certified check, or by a bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Livingston and executed as surety by some corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California, for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid and no bid shall be considered unless such cashier's or certified check or bidder's bond in enclosed therewith. It is mandatory that Bidders are on the Owner's Official Bidder's list prior to submitting a bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Requests for clarification or questions shall be delivered to the Engineer by 5:00 p.m. PST on December 22, 2022. 640.24
