Description | As of May 11, 2023 the owner has determined a prequalified list of construction managers but award is still under negotiation. The University of Arkansas Community College Morrilton, in accordance with the policies of the Board of Trustees, is soliciting responses from qualified firms to provide general contractor construction management services for the construction of an Allied Health and Science Center. The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM), a campus included in the University of Arkansas System and governed by the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas, is seeking to construct an Allied Health and Science Center to consolidate the schools health professional training programs from several smaller existing buildings on the UACCM Campus to a new, state of the art facility. The nursing program in specific has outgrown their current educational space due to increasing enrollment. The project consists of the construction of an allied health and science education building, demolition of current structure on site, site utility improvements including water, sewer, gas, electric/power relocations and improvements, and site grading and drainage improvements funded in part by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration. Currently UACCM has a $14 million budget for the project. This includes a $3 million EDA (Economic Development Administration) Grant with the rest being funded through reserves, private donations, and bonding. General contractors and architect/engineering services will work with university personnel and Facilities Management to in design and requirements of building. Statements of Qualifications will be reviewed by a selection committee and a short-list of firms will be invited to interview with the university. The university welcomes proposals from firms with a diverse workforce, including women-owned, minority-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned firms and joint ventures including such firms. Professional Services Required Include: Guaranteed Maximum Price/fast Track Management Construction Management-general Contractor Project Management, Estimating, Subcontractor Selection, Project and Change Order Pricing, Demolition, Schedule Control, Cost Reduction and Control, Project Coordination, Building Information Modeling (Bim), Closeout, and Warranty. the range of a two story building at 32k-36k sq feet. $14-16million |
